I am on the shorter side, so I don’t belt my outfits often. But I wanted to show you a different way to wear this smart work look.
The brown belt ties the look together, but it also cinches your waist. Don’t be afraid to try different things to find your look. Remember, your style does speak for you - so let it speak confidently when you where this look whether petite or tall. Since we only have a couple more weeks before Winter officially enters it's season this would be a good time to find some belts that would look good for Fall looks and can transition into Winter. Of course, my taller readers can wear more belted looks since height is on your side. Belts give the figure flattering silhouette that can make a world of a difference. Petites like me, keep in mind: you should look for outerwear that comes mid-thigh with tapered sides to show off your silhouette. It’s still okay to belt, but the tapered sides with a belt for a shorter body type works best. Do you belt or not? Let us know!

Crisp white shirt, belted waist, and flared plaid skirt goes perfect with the colors and crispness of fall. This is a classic look for the office as well as for a weekend full of shopping or activities with friends. Plaid is definitely in this season and this is how I am bringing it in to the office. This look screams Fall fashion at its most professional.
My crisp white French cuff wrinkle free button down from Brooks Brothers, is one of my staple pieces that gets a lot of use. My stacked heels from Jessica Simpson are open-toe, so please check your company’s dress code. The surprise of this outfit is, that the skirt are vintage from my closet. When you have classic pieces, you will always be able to pull from your closet. How are you rocking plaid?
